May is one of the most important months for insects, wild bees, and butterflies. During this time, many species discover their first sources of food—yet mowed lawns strip them of this very means of survival.

With this petition, I call upon the ClimateQuest community to participate in the “No Mow May” campaign this May:

1. Do not mow your lawn in May
2. Leave flowering areas untouched
3. Let wildflowers grow
4. Create habitat for insects

Even just a few square meters of unmowed space can:

1. increase biodiversity
2. protect pollinators
3. sequester CO₂ in the soil
4. and strengthen local nature

Let us show, together, that climate protection begins not only in the digital realm but also right on our own doorsteps.
