Article How To: Log actions
To log an action on ClimateQuest, please follow these steps:
- Navigate to the correct page: In the menu bar, click on Fast Access --> Add Action.
- Select an item: Choose the specific action you have completed.
- Add a description: If you wish, you can add a brief description to help you remember exactly what you did later on.
- Specify the quantity: Indicate how much of the selected action you performed—for example, how many weeks you followed a vegetarian diet or how many kilometers you cycled. The unit of measurement is always displayed alongside the input field; simply ensure that you enter a numerical value.
- Add a date: Enter the date on which you performed the action, or—in the case of actions spanning a period of time—the end date.
- Add: Click "Add," and your action will be saved.
- Earn Climate Points: You will receive Climate Points and may potentially level up or extend your streak!
To prevent fraud, the following requirements apply to all actions:
- Timeframe (I): You cannot log two actions of the same type within the same timeframe if they involve a continuous duration. This means, for instance, that you cannot log that you ate a vegetarian diet for the past week if you already logged that same action yesterday.
- Timeframe (II): The date associated with an action cannot be in the future, nor can the action have begun more than one month ago. After all, the goal is to motivate you to perform *new* actions, not merely to log old ones!
- Quantity: There is a maximum limit on the total quantity you may log for any single type of action. This means, for example, that you cannot claim to have followed a vegetarian diet for 1,000,000,000 weeks, as such a feat is physically impossible.
